Abu Ali Al Hasan Ibn Al Hasan Ibn Al Haytham or as the west remembers him, Alhazen, is well, one of my personal heroes. Not only is he, arguably, the first scientist, he also has a crater on the moon and an asteroid named after him, among other things.
A man so great that he’s been called simple, “The Physicist”, his book, Kitab Al Manazir, is a book I have long since wanted to read.
